Jon has over 10 years of teaching Computer Science at the high school and college level after working as a full stack web developer and managing a small team of developers for a number of years.  He has been at Monarch High School since 2022 and enjoys working with students to build a strong foundation in problem solving and programming so that they can be successful in the future.

Jon is credentialed as a concurrent enrollment instructor through Front Range Community College and is a current cohort member of the National Cybersecurity Teaching Academy.  He was recognized with Impact on Education’s Impact Award in 2024 for making an extraordinary impact on student learning.

Jon holds Masters degree in Linguistics (with a Computational Linguistics focus) from the University of Chicago. He also holds Bachelors degrees in Technical Communication and Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
